Cloudride Prologue – ACT / NSW

The Cloudride Prologue is a 500km route that is designed as a warm-up event for the Monaro Cloudride. Also organised by Breathtaking Events, the exact route for 2023 is still TBC, but it will be a roughly 500km loop that begins and ends in Canberra.

The prologue is designed to be short, but tough, and a good introduction to bikepacking racing. If you’re new to the idea of racing, it’s worth checking the full list of race rules. Putting it very simply, you need to stick strictly to the route and be self-sufficient for the duration of the race.

PROLOGUE COURSE

The Prologure course will be about 500 kilometres over mixed terrain generally with 5,000 -7,000Vm. Some difficult sections, some fast gravel/dirt roads and some paved sections. It is not an XC single track course, it is mostly public shire back roads and occasional public road reserves that can legally traverse private property.
