Velo Grammont’s newest cycling event is the Frostbite Gravel XL.
The inaugural event is on Saturday 29th May, in Omeo, Victoria. While it’s not quite a race, there are some timed segments along the route; there’s also designated feed stops along the way.
You’ve probably guessed from the name, but with the event taking place at the end of May, chances are that it’s going to be cold up there in the High Country. The XL route is 180km, featuring 127km of gravel and an elevation gain of 3,700+m. If you’re not quite up for the full 180, there’s also a 105km option.
Featuring some of the longest, highest gravel climbs in the High Country, the Frostbite Gravel XL is definitely one for the calendar.
